August 23 -- Logrono

Received a very brief email from Rolando, written at about 10 pm Spain time.  The walk was long, and presumably taxing.  He was very tired, and a blister has enlarged.  But even so Roly says he is ok. 

Tomorrow they trek to Najera.  Shown on the map below.

Rolando also sent these photos today, of a famous Pilgrimage landmark from a bit past Pamplona.  At the "Alto de Pardon,"  ("The Heights of Mercy.")  The inscription: "Where the path of the wind crosses that of the stars.") Step by step, Roly and Mayi are doing it!
